Mike Osborn is a seasoned guitar player who's styles range from blues, rocking blues, and country. He is an excellent songwriter and the master of the electric guitar. With story driven lyrics and stinging guitar licks he has the ability to transport you to other dimensions with his music. I had the pleasure of working with him on his first CD which did well internationally. I recommend that you give this artist a serious listen.

Mike Osborn Is a True original, Passionate and Soulful, Mike has a unique sound loaded with intensity and emotion; With a bluesy style and a twist of hard driving rock and county thrown in for some tasty Blues. I started working with mike almost ten years ago after working with many noteworthy musicians over the years and heard something special in his style and phrasing. While he can certainly cut it up with the best of them he always shines through in a unique way that is impossible to ignore.

Mike has a great down to earth personality and demeanor. Musically I have enjoyed watching Mike grow and blossom into an even broader musician that will get you dancing in your seat and stomping your feet. I would have to say he is probably one of the bay areas top ten Guitarist/Musicians. With a unique mix of influences from Buddy Guy, Gary More, Jimi Hendrix, SRV, BB Chung King and many others.  And always an enjoyable show and a must see live!

Mike Osborn plays powerhouse modern blues with the confidence and versatility of an artist who has paid his dues on the road many times over. Blessed with a muscular vocal style and ferocious guitar attack that ideally suits his “in your face” style.

My name’s Tom Clarke and I write a column in Hittin’ The Note and contribute to Elmore and Blues Music Magazine (formerly Blues Revue). It’s always tough to sift through the piles and find a winner among the so-many talented folks I get CD’s from, especially in the realm you work in. Your album In The Dog House stuck out today—I love when that happens!—and I’m writing about it right now for HTN. Great songs matter most, and you deliver. Singing voice second, and yours has that natural grit. Very tasty guitar? In spades. Thanks for a fine listening experience tonight. Mike's voice is powerful enough with accents soul and one guitar style based on virtuosity without losing sight of the melody.

Mike Osborn encompasses an ability to link the blues past to the freshness of today in his individualized vocals and guitar work.

What these guys put together is incredible: the songs are all very well-written, musicianship is first-rate, and Osborn’s guitar work and vocals are amazing. Each song is different and cover more genres than would seem possible in a 45 minute album that actually sounds like it is a singular piece of art.  and it shows that Mike’s talent has a lot of depth.

Mike Osborn’s In the Dog House is a winner from every perspective. He delivers a passionate and intelligent album that was carefully put together by one of the best in the business. I have heard his live performance is just as good.

Mike Osborn is a tough character. He doesn’t believe in Superman or sunshine, as evidenced by his songs “Ain’t No Superman” and ‘Ain’t No Sunshine.” Okay, actually there’s only no sunshine “when she’s gone,” and the other song is not so much a denial of the Man of Steel’s existence as a plea to his woman to ease up a little. Still, there’s something raw and gritty about this Campbell bluesman that makes me think I wouldn’t want to fight him. Last month he released his first CD, Fire and Fury, on which the former rockabilly and metal guitarist embraces his blues destiny in a brutal full nelson.

Dear Mr. Osborn,
Just a note to let you know I previewed your CD today and was very impressed with it - so impressed that we will be featuring the CD next week on our show "Shout Brother Shout".  I've selected tracks 1,2,7, and 8 to feature.  Guitar work is excellent and your voice goes well beyond what many blues guitarists have.  I'm very impressed.  Keep up the great work.
